Barcelona, 26th February 2025 — Titan OS S.L. (Titan OS), the Barcelona-based technology, entertainment, and advertising company Titan OS, which has developed an operating system for CTV (Connected TV), has launched two new streaming channels in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: DEFA TV and HIMMLISCHES KINO. 

These new channels further strengthen Titan OS’s growing high-quality content portfolio, accessible on Philips smart TVs powered by Titan OS and Sony’s Android TVs featuring Titan Channels. 

The addition of DEFA TV and HIMMLISCHES KINO expands Titan OS's streaming channels portfolio, which is accessible on Philips and Sony’s Android TVs. These new channels add 200 hours of content, with feeds that are updated monthly. The channels offer a mix of premium and localised entertainment, including classic East German cinema and faith-based films and series.

• DEFA TV: The channel for all fans of high-quality produced film classics brings the GDR cinema back to the screens with a mix of feature film classics of various genres - from drama to thriller, from comedy to science fiction. The overall portfolio is supplemented by valuable documentaries about life and people in the GDR and unique cartoons and puppet films from the past. 

• HIMMLISCHES KINO: The channel for all fans of moving stories and feel-good cinema, brings breathtaking and memorable stories and films based on true events.

DEFA TV and HIMMLISCHES KINO join an expanding lineup of German-language programming available on Titan OS for the DACH region. This rollout enhances the curated content selection for local audiences, which already includes SPIEGEL TV Konflikte, Euronews Deutsch, and the Sony One FAST channels: Comedy TV, Thriller TV, Comedi HITS, and Action HITS.

The Titan OS lean-back viewing experience is further enhanced by the seamless integration of these channels into the Titan OS Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) and home page navigation features.
